SikaPower-415 P1 is a one-component, cold-applied, moisture or temperature pre-curing, heat-curing epoxy/polyurethane-based sealant. SikaPower-415 P1 is suitable for sealing seams and joints in metal pipe construction, where the sealant is cured to a cross-linked elastomer by heat, for example in a cathodic dip-paint oven. Pre-curing can take place at room temperature via a surface reaction with atmospheric moisture or at elevated temperature.
SikaPower-415 P1 enables the sealing of seams (laser, coarse and fine seams) and joints in metal shell construction. After application, the sealant forms a thin skin on the surface under the action of atmospheric humidity (about 50% relative humidity) within about four hours, which protects it from washing out. Bonding of oiled substrates (common anti-corrosion, deep drawing oils, approx. 2 g/m²) is possible due to oil absorption during hot curing.
