Since 2010, the manufacturer Gaslock has been offering a gas level indicator for propane gas cylinders under the GASLEVEL® brand.
The gas bottle level indicator is only 6.5 cm high, 3 cm wide and 1.6 cm thick, is handy and works with ultrasound. It measures the gas level of 5, 11 and 33 kilogram propane cylinders in seconds.
The GASLEVEL® Classic level indicator is simply attached to the gas bottle with its magnetic back, switched on and moved down until the indicator changes from red to green and the area filled with liquid gas is reached. The gas level indicator even works with aluminium gas cylinders when it is manually pressed against the cylinder.
The GASLEVEL® Classic is manufactured on modern production facilities in Iserlohn. The device complies with the EU directive EMC 2004/108/EC and is also approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (EX * II 3 G Ex nA IIA T3).
This is especially important for commercial and industrial customers who can use the GASLEVEL® Classic in particularly sensitive working areas.
Gas cylinder level indicator in use
The GASLEVEL® is suitable for measuring gas cylinder fill levels in the trades (e.g. roofers), in the catering trade (e.g. outdoor radiant heaters), in the private hobby sector (e.g. barbecues), on boats and in the camping sector (e.g. caravans and motorhomes).
Measuring the gas cylinder fill level
To determine the gas level of your butane or propane gas bottle (5 kg, 11 kg or 33 kg), place the device in the upper area of the gas bottle (adheres by integrated magnets).
After pressing the pressure switch, a red control light lights up. Remove the appliance from the bottle and place it back on the bottle a little further down. As soon as you reach the area filled with liquid gas, the control light changes from red to green. The measuring point of the filling level can be seen on the raised centre line with the two arrows on the device. By moving the unit slightly up and down, a very accurate fill level can be determined.
