The Truma LPG gas filter is fitted between the high-pressure gas hose and the gas regulator.
The LPG gas and the exhaust vapor residues flow through the filter cartridge in the housing. These are filtered out and drip onto the Truma filter pad.
The gas may contain oily particles such as olefins, kerosenes and hydrocarbon compounds. If the connected appliances, such as the refrigerator, are now in operation, the particles can become trapped in the LPG conversion kit and its components, such as the gas regulator, valves and pipes , clogging them and impairing their function.
If LPG gas is used in the vehicle, the use of a motorhome gas filter is recommended. The cost of a motorhome gas filter is disproportionate to problems and defects in the appliances or motorhome LPG conversion kit itself. The Truma gas filter, for example, filters up to 99.9% of aerosols out of the gas.
For effective gas filtration in motorhomes, Truma offers a compact and effective solution for campers with the latest version of the gas filter. The optimized design allows installation and retrofitting in all gas lockers and is compatible with all wall or ceiling-mounted gas regulators from Truma.
The filter pad can be easily replaced without tools and can only be opened when the gas cylinder is closed. This offers maximum safety.
The Truma gas filter is available both individually and as a set of 2.
Truma gas filters are also part of the Truma CST gas regulator for camper propane tanks. The Truma LPG gas filter is also included in the Truma DuoControl CS vertical and horizontal workshop sets and the MonControl CS workshop set.
According to the manufacturer, it is no longer necessary to change the filter cartridge in the latest generation of Truma gas filters.
When does the Truma LPG gas filter need to be changed?
The Truma filter cartridge only needs to be replaced if the oil separator is mechanically damaged.
Only the Truma filter pad should be replaced every time the gas cylinder is changed.
In the following video, we show you step by step how to change the Truma gas filter pad.
The Truma gas filter can be attached directly to the gas box wall in the motorhome using a mounting bracket.
