Truma VK LPG gas manifold with 8/10 mm inlet and 8 mm outlet. Acts as a quick-closing valve to open and close the gas supply to appliances (cooker, hob, fridge, boiler, etc.).
The gas manifold is fitted inside the campervan or boat. A steel pipe is run from the gas cylinders or LPG tank to the gas manifold. The respective gas appliances are connected to the outlet side.
What should be borne in mind when installing gas distribution blocks in campervans?
It must be possible to shut off the gas supply to each appliance individually. If only one gas-powered appliance is installed in the vehicle, an additional gas distribution block is not required. In this case, it is sufficient to shut off the gas cylinder valve.
If at least two gas-powered appliances are fitted, a gas distribution block must be installed.
The following points must be observed:
- It must be possible to identify which shut-off valve corresponds to which gas appliance. Stickers with pictograms are available separately for this purpose.
- It must be clear from the gas distribution block when the valve is open and when it is closed.
- Unused connections on the gas distribution block must be sealed with a blind plug and a union nut.
- A leak test must be carried out before commissioning.
