Fields of application:
Bonding of, among others:
- Metal frames
- corner profiles
- Structural bonding of polyester parts
- climate boxes
- solar installations
- SAT systems
- Frame and wheel covers
- and much more
Proper application:
DEKAsyl MS-5 can be easily applied with a hand or air pressure gun. For sealing, Dekasyl MS-5 should be applied within 12 minutes (at 20°C/50 % rel. humidity) with a
previously dipped in a mild soap solution, or smoothened with a spatula or putty knife.
Avoid penetration of the side solution between the joint sides and the sealant, as this will lead to a loss of adhesion.
this will lead to a loss of adhesion. For bonding, the substrates must be bonded within 15 minutes (at
20°C/50% rel. humidity) after application of Dekasyl MS-5. The higher the temperature
the shorter the working time! In general, an adhesive layer of 2 mm is recommended if similar
materials (with similar strength) are to be bonded. The greater the difference in thermal expansion, the thicker the adhesive layer should be. At a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 50%, Dekasyl MS-5 can already be
can be overpainted with most industrial paints after only 10 minutes. The best possible adhesion of
paint coats is achieved if the paint is applied 4 hours after application of Dekasyl MS-5. Clean tools or remove uncured residues of Dekasyl MS-5 with a clean, colourless cloth soaked in acetone or MEK (it is recommended to check beforehand if the
surface is affected by this cleaner).
