CAMPKO® composite gas tank bottle - what you should know about the composite gas tank bottle

CAMPKO® composite gas cylinders are made from a special mixture of plastic and composite materials. Composite gas cylinders have a lower weight than comparable gas cylinders made of steel or aluminum. Although the collar of the gas cylinder is not removable, it offers ideal protection for the fitted OPD or multi-valve.

As composite gas cylinders do not rust, they are particularly popular for outdoor or marine use.

In which sizes is the CAMPKO® composite gas cylinder available?

CAMPKO® composite gas cylinders are currently available in three different sizes. While the OPD version is available in all three versions listed below, the composite tank bottle with multi-valve is only available in the 24.5 liter version.

Are there different versions of the CAMPKO® composite gas tank bottle?

The CAMPKO® composite gas tank bottle is available in two different valve versions, with OPD valve and multi-valve. Both valves have an 80% fill-stop function that protects against overfilling.

The multi-valve version also has a mechanical gas level indicator and two separate connections for gas refueling and gas withdrawal. Composite gas cylinders with multi-valve from CAMPKO® are installed in the motorhome in a similar way to the Alugas TRAVELMate and refueled via the LPG filler neck.

The CAMPKO® composite gas cylinder with filling stop and OPD valve has only one valve opening. The composite gas cylinder is filled and the gas is removed through this opening. The cylinder is not suitable for permanent installation in a motorhome.

Rather, this GRP gas tank cylinder is used as a portable gas cylinder, for example in trade, industry or for barbecues. The composite gas cylinder can be easily filled at a local gas dealer.

How can I read the gas level on the CAMPKO® tank cylinder?

Thanks to the deliberately chosen viewing slots in the robust casing of the CAMPKO® composite gas cylinders, it is possible to read the fill level through the translucent glass fiber mixture against the influence of light or with the aid of a flashlight.

Alternatively, the GRP gas tank cylinder can be placed on a scale. The weight printed on the bottle collar must then be subtracted from the displayed weight.

What approval does the CAMPKO® composite tank bottle have?

CAMPKO® composite gas cylinders are approved by TÜV Süd in a type examination according to 2014/68/EU with CE certification.
