Mopeka Pro - The 5 most important answers

What is the Mopeka Pro Sensor?

The Mopeka Pro Sensor is an ultrasonic sensor for measuring the fill level in a pressurized gas container. This can be a gas cylinder or an LPG tank, for example.

How does the sensor work?

The sensor is attached to the bottom of the cylinder using magnets and provides information about the level in a gas cylinder to an external monitor or Mopeka's own app on your smartphone.

Mopeka vs. Mopeka Pro

The main difference is the accuracy of the measurements and the maximum possible size of the gas container. While the normal Mopeka sensors were designed more for smaller cylinders, the Pro version also supports larger household tanks with a volume of up to 4000 liters. According to current information from the manufacturer, only the PRO version will be available in future.

Which gas cylinders is the Mopeka Sensor suitable for?

The Mopeka Sensor is suitable for all cylinders with a volume of 5 kg (approx. 9 L) or more. While steel cylinders are attached magnetically, aluminum cylinders require a special holder in the form of an adhesive frame or a clamping plate.

What accessories are available?

The scope of delivery includes 1 ml contact gel and a CR2032 battery (already installed). Sensors for aluminum bottles also come with an adhesive frame for mounting.

Adhesive frame
The original Mopeka adhesive frames are the perfect addition for all aluminum bottles that cannot be attached with magnets.

Clamping plate
Another alternative for attaching to aluminum bottles is the so-called clamping plate. The Campko AUT51217 clamping plate, for example, is available for this purpose.

Contact gel
The contact gel prevents air bubbles from forming between the Mopeka Pro and the gas cylinder and can compensate for unevenness, for example due to a rounded gas cylinder base.
Our tip: Order 1-2 tubes of Mopeka contact gel at the same time.

Which battery for the Mopeka Pro sensor?

The Mopeka sensor contains a standard CR2032 battery.

Change battery

The battery can be changed very easily. To do this, carefully loosen the cover cap with a screwdriver and remove the cover. The battery can now be removed and a new one inserted. Then replace the cover cap. When replacing the cover, make sure that the two arrows on the housing point towards each other to ensure that the sync button and the sensor itself function correctly.

Which app for reading the fill level?

With the "Mopeka TankCheck" app, the fill level can be read out very easily. The app connects the device to the smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.
