Safety instructions and warnings

General safety

  • Installation and commissioning only by qualified specialist personnel for LPG vehicle gas systems; there is a risk of escaping gas and ignition sources.
  • Before working on the system, switch off the ignition, disconnect the battery (if necessary) and depressurise the system; do not work in the vicinity of naked flames, sparks or hot surfaces.
  • Only use on compatible control units/harnesses intended for this purpose; incorrect wiring can lead to malfunctions, short circuits or damage to the LPG conversion kit.

Installation, connection and environment

  • De-energise the electrical plug connection; keep the contacts clean, dry and correctly locked (corrosion/moisture can cause measurement errors).
  • Do not crush or kink the sensor cable or allow it to rub against sharp edges; provide adequate strain relief and vibration protection.
  • Protect from direct heat (e.g. exhaust system/turbocharger) and do not install in areas where water jets/stones can have a permanent effect.
  • Do not open the product, do not modify it mechanically and do not attempt to repair it; only replace it if it is defective.

Testing after installation

  • After installation, carry out a functional test/diagnosis of the LPG system and check the measured values for plausibility; if there are any abnormalities, take the system out of operation and rectify the cause.
  • After working on gas-carrying components, always carry out a leak test in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and applicable regulations.

Decommissioning & disposal

  • Dispose of the old part and packaging in accordance with local regulations for electrical/electronic components; do not dispose of with household waste.
