The ALUGAS plastic retaining element is designed as a spare part for the ALUGAS quick-connect coupling with non-return valve. It serves to mechanically secure the connected quick-connect coupling and helps to prevent the connection from becoming disengaged accidentally.
The component is particularly suitable as a replacement for a damaged or lost locking element of the corresponding ALUGAS quick-connect coupling. Among other applications, the quick-connect coupling is fitted directly to the multivalve of the TRAVELMate refillable gas cylinder, between the inlet nozzle and the LPG filling hose.

Safety and warning instructions
Notes:
- The locking element must only be used on the quick-release coupling for which it is intended and with which it is compatible.
- Before each use, the retaining element must be inspected for cracks, deformation, material fatigue or other damage.
- Damaged safety elements or those that do not engage properly must not be used any further and must be replaced.
- Before refuelling, ensure that the quick-release coupling is fully connected and that the safety device is correctly fitted.
- The safety device must not be modified, drilled out, heated or otherwise mechanically altered.
- The safety element does not replace the prescribed inspections of the quick-connect coupling and the gas-carrying connections.
- Work on gas-carrying components and LPG refuelling systems must only be carried out by suitably qualified specialist personnel.
