Victron Energy LiFePO4 battery 12.8V 200Ah Smart with integrated cell equalisation - can be connected in parallel and in series. Bluetooth app for monitoring cell voltage and temperature available. LiFePO4 or LFP batteries are the safest of the regular lithium-iron battery types. The nominal voltage of an LFP cell is 3.2V (lead-acid: 2V/cell). An LFP battery does not need to be fully charged. The operating life even increases slightly if the battery is only partially charged instead of fully charged. This is a significant advantage of LFP batteries compared to lead-acid batteries. Other advantages include the wide operating temperature range, excellent cyclisation, low internal resistance and high efficiency.
In numerous applications (especially off-grid solar and/or wind power systems), the degree of energy utilisation can be of decisive importance. The round-trip energy efficiency of an LFP battery is 92%. It has an energy utilisation factor of approx. 90 %, even when it is in a shallow discharge state.
Victron Energy LFP batteries have an integrated cell equalisation and cell monitoring function. Up to 5 batteries can be connected in parallel and up to four 12V batteries can be connected in series to create a 48V battery bank of up to 1500Ah. The cables of the cell equalisation/monitoring function can be linked together.
