The EasySolar-II GX combines an MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/charger and a control centre in one housing. The product is easy to install and requires minimal wiring.
EasySolar-II GX uses excess PV power to charge the batteries or feed power back into the grid, and discharges the battery or uses power from the grid to supplement a lack of PV power. In the event of a power failure, EasySolar-II GX disconnects from the grid and continues to supply the loads. Loads that are to be switched off when no AC input is available can be connected to a second output (not shown). These loads are taken into account by the PowerControl and PowerAssist function to limit the AC input to a safe value.
The complete solution for solar power
The Victron EasySolar-II GX integrates the following elements:
- A MultiPlus-II inverter/charger
- A SmartSolar MPPT-Tr solar charge controller
- A GX device with 2x 16 character display
These elements are pre-wired and integrated into a single unit. This greatly simplifies most installations and saves time and money.
Display and WLAN
The display shows parameters for the battery, inverter and solar charge controller. The parameters can be accessed using a smartphone or other WLAN-enabled device. Wi-Fi can also be used to set up the system and change settings.
Solar charge controller
The DC output of the SmartSolar MPPT is connected in parallel to the DC connection of the MultiPlus II inverter/charger. The on/off mechanism of the MultiPlus-II also controls the SmartSolar MPPT.
GX device
The integrated GX device includes:
- A VE.Can interface. This can be used to connect VE.Can devices from Victron (e.g. VE.Can MPPT). The connection can also be reconfigured via the remote console for use with a compatible CAN bus Li-ion battery
- A USB connection
- An Ethernet connection
- A VE.Direct connection
The GX device controls the MultiPlus-II and the SmartSolar MPPT with one VE.Bus and one VE.Direct connection each.
