Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially in overcast conditions when light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves energy yield by up to 30 % compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10 % compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Advanced maximum power point detection for partial shading
In the event of partial shading, two or more MPPs may be present on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adjust to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimum MPP. The innovative algorithm of the BlueSolar device will always maximise the energy yield by adjusting to the optimum MPP.

Flexible charging algorithms
Fully programmable charging algorithm (see also the software page on our website) and eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected via a rotary knob (see our manual for more details).
Comprehensive electronic protection
Overheating protection and load reduction at high temperatures. Protection against PV short circuit and PV reverse polarity. PV reverse current protection.
Internal temperature sensor
Balances constant and float charge voltage according to temperature.
Optional external battery voltage, temperature and current measurement via Bluetooth
With a Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor, the battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV-712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more BlueSolar charge controllers. (A VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle is required for this)
