Victron Energy Cyrix-Li-Load 12/24V-120A CYR010120450 - Intelligent battery coupler for LiFePO4 systems

The Victron Cyrix-Li-Load 12/24V-120A is an intelligent load-break switch for 12?V or 24?V LiFePO4 batteries. It is ideal as a supplement to the VE.Bus BMS, especially for loads or chargers that cannot be controlled directly by the BMS. The switch works with up to 120?A continuous current and offers reliable protection for your battery.

How the Cyrix battery coupler works

Cyrix couplers are microprocessor-controlled high-performance relays that automatically connect batteries when the voltage reaches a charging threshold - and disconnect them again as soon as the voltage falls below a defined discharge threshold. The big advantage: no significant voltage losses compared to isolating diodes - no need to increase the charging voltage.

Special control logic for lithium systems

The Cyrix-Li-Load disconnects immediately in the event of a "free floating" signal (no control pulse). When the battery voltage recovers, the switch is reactivated after 30 seconds - but only up to three times. It then remains deactivated until the voltage is above 13?V (or 26?V or 52?V) for at least 30 seconds - an indication that the charging process has begun.

Perfect addition to the VE.Bus BMS

The VE.Bus BMS cannot control all devices directly. The Cyrix-Li-Load serves as a powerful extension to specifically disconnect larger consumers or chargers - without system intervention and precisely controlled via the BMS output signal.
