The prices of CampingGaz butane gas cylinders on the market are as follows: The 2.7 kg GaZ cylinders are offered filled for around 80 euros. A filling in exchange with butane costs on average 30-40 euros (that is 11 euros per kilo of gas). At propane dealers, a kilo of gas costs around 2 euros, and here we offer you an empty cylinder which, together with the separately available refill hose, is a universal, refillable gas source. Many camping equipment suppliers have adapted their gas lockers to these cylinders due to a lack of alternatives over the years, so that other cylinders do not fit well. In addition, only butane can be filled into these cylinders, which no longer works in winter.
In principle, the cylinders can be filled from any filling station, but you can also fill them yourself from a 5 or 11 kg cylinder.
Many customers also fill these cylinders at LPG filling stations abroad. This is not permitted in Germany. We advise against this, as a certain basic knowledge of gas and its properties is required, and the safety valve allows you to remove a cylinder that is not completely empty from the appliance.
