- Product description
Properties and advantages:
Loctite 518 is a surface sealant that prevents the escape of liquids or gas under normal pressure. It forms an impermeable barrier. It provides a perfect seal between machined or rigid flange surfaces that have minimal contact with each other - and thus also protects these metal parts from contact corrosion.
Loctite 518 hardens in the joint without allowing air to enter. After curing, the seal is moderately strong and stable and has a long service life. It is suitable for both manual dispensing and screen printing. The advantage is that you can use Loctite 518 on flanges with a high temperature of up to 200 °C. Adapts to flange surfaces and gaskets up to 0.25 mm.
