Energy and power meter for the solar system
Microprocessor-controlled, the following values are measured, calculated and displayed:
- Current solar power 0 - 999 W (watts)
- Current solar current 0 - 60.0 A (amperes)
The geographical and weather-dependent influences are immediately and unmistakably apparent. This also applies to the orientation of the sun, partial shading or soiling of the solar modules. - Current solar battery voltage 7 - 32.0 V (volts)
Allows conclusions to be drawn about the battery status (flashing warning display for under- or overvoltage of the battery) - Charged solar capacity 0 - 9999 Ah (ampere hours)
- Charged solar energy 0 - 9999 kWh (kilowatt hours)
The energy generated by the solar modules (Wh and kWh) and the capacity charged into the battery (Ah) are measured, totalled and displayed, even over days and weeks. The display values can be reset individually to "zero" at any time for your own statistical purposes
How much energy does my solar system actually deliver? Are the solar modules shaded or dirty or is something wrong? To answer these questions, VOTRONIC offers the LCD Solar Computer S, which is simply connected to the VOTRONIC solar charge controller of the SR and MPP series and immediately provides comprehensive information.
The LCD Solar Computer S can also be connected to the controller at a later date, as the VOTRONIC solar charge controllers are already prepared for this and supply the required signals. This makes connection extremely simple.
The measured values are clearly presented on the display and can be easily operated at the touch of a button for better control and utilisation of the solar system. The display is backlit (switchable) and very easy to read even from greater distances and in all lighting conditions.
The LCD Solar Computer S is designed as a panel version to match the VOTRONIC module system and fits in with the other display modules both visually and mechanically (standardised height 85 mm). Small front panel dimensions and the particularly shallow installation depth of just 22 mm allow installation in almost any position. If the device cannot be recessed, a suitable surface-mounted housing is available in our range of accessories. The connection to the solar controller is made ready to plug in using the 5 m connection cable supplied, which can be extended by a further 5 m using an extension.
Note: The current version of the LCD Solar Computer S is compatible with all VOTRONIC solar charge controllers in SR and MPP technology from 2013 (serial number 13Vxx.xxxxx). For older models, please contact our Technical Support.
Optional accessories
The Solar Data Extendersummarises the data from up to three solar controllers so that they can be shown on a single display. The usual LCD displays (e.g. LCD Solar Computer S or VPC combination panel) can still be used. It is compatible with the following devices:
- Solar charge controllers in SR and MPP technology (from serial no. 14Vxx.xxxxx)
- Battery Charger type VBCS Triple
- LCD Solar Computer S (from serial no. 15V40.xxxxx)
- VPC series with solar function
- Bluetooth Connector S-BC
