• Charging programmes no. 1, 2, 3 and 5 (gel, AGM, acid, start) adjustable to battery type
• The charging voltage is free of peaks and regulated in such a way that overcharging of the batteries is ruled out.
• Fully automatic continuous operation: The charger can be permanently connected to the battery and keeps it fully charged. In the event of a mains failure, the batteries are not discharged (disconnection by safety switch).
• Lead-acid battery regeneration twice a week during long downtimes to prevent harmful acid stratification.
• Parallel and buffer operation: The battery continues to be charged or is kept fully charged during simultaneous consumption. The charger automatically calculates and monitors the adjustment of the charging times.
• Monitoring-free charging: Multiple protection against overload, overheating, overvoltage, short circuit, polarity reversal, incorrect behaviour and battery back-discharge through electronic cut-off up to complete disconnection of charger and battery by built-in safety switches.
• Connection for battery temperature sensor (supplied with temperature sensor 825): With lead batteries (acid, gel, AGM), the charging voltage is automatically adjusted to the battery temperature, ensuring better full charging of the weaker battery in cold weather and avoiding unnecessary battery gassing and thus battery stress in summer temperatures.
• Silent Run function: Noise-optimised operation at the touch of a button (night mode).
• Mains adapter function: Enables consumers to be supplied without a battery (e.g. when changing batteries).
• Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated for.
• Built-in on-board mains filter: Problem-free parallel operation with solar systems, wind and petrol generators, dynamos, etc. on one battery.
• Moisture-protected electronics
• Charging aid for deeply discharged lead batteries: Gentle pre-charging of the (lead-acid, -gel, -AGM) battery up to 8 V, then powerful support for the battery if consumers are still switched on.
• Built-in charging current distributor with 2 main charging outputs, both with maximum current and power capacity
• For mixed operation with 1 supply battery and 1 starter battery, a separate starter charging programme can be set on the built-in charging current distributor
• Starter battery is also charged with full charging current if required (short vehicle service life)
• Separate auxiliary charging output "S" for support and trickle charging of an additional starter battery or as signalling output +86 for engine start inhibit with vehicle mains connection
• Equalisation function (IUIU charging characteristic can be activated manually for cell equalisation charging)
• Battery capacity adjustable in 4 stages (12 charging programmes in total)
• Inputs for voltage sensor (sense) cables, optionally usable with extra-long charging cables and/or external, lossy diode charging current distributors
• Mains/charging power can be reduced in the event of low-power or limited mains supply, e.g. weakly fused shore power supply, generator operation, etc. (power limit function)
• Disconnection of the batteries in the event of mains failure, overheating, malfunction (safety switch per charging output)
• Variable installation position
