- Product description
The VOTRONIC tank gauges were designed for precise level measurement in emergency vehicles. A display system consists of a tank sensor for measurement on the tank and a separate display unit. If the standard voltage signal 0...10 V is used, several displays can also be operated on the tank sensor.
All components have a very robust design, are waterproof moulded, designed for 12 V and 24 V on-board voltage and are completely vibration-proof. They are processor-controlled and continuously run internal safety checks.
The VOTRONIC FW tank sensor was designed for measuring the fill level of water and water-containing media in the metal and plastic tanks of fire service vehicles. The sensor is mounted on the outside at the top of the tank or close to it. Only the flexible measuring probe needs to be hooked into the tank itself.
The sensor supplies stepless standard signals (voltage signal 0...10 volts or current signal 4...20 mA) according to the fill level for connection to a wide variety of display and evaluation devices, e.g. VOTRONIC LED Tank Display HE, pointer instruments or third-party devices such as on-board computers, etc. The sensor can operate a total of up to 4 LED Tank Display HE 010.
- No mechanically moving parts, robust fully electronic capacitive measuring method
- Simple adjustment to the specified tank height
- Precise calibration, freely adjustable separately for "empty" and "full"
- Pressure-independent, no falsification of measured values in the event of overpressure, pressurised refuelling, etc.
- Linear, stepless signal of the fill level
- Protection against reverse polarity, overvoltage, short circuit, overload
- Absolutely waterproof and vibration-proof encapsulation
- Safety due to continuous internal test procedures (processor-controlled)
- Output signal voltage 0...10 V: burden load min. 1 kOhm, three-wire circuit, or
switchable to output signal current 4...20 mA: Load max. (UB-7 V) 20 mA, two-wire circuit
Note:These components, which are adapted to industrial standard signals (0...10 V or 4...20 mA), allow operation with other makes, but do not work together with the VOTRONIC fuel gauge system for motorhomes, caravans and off-road vehicles.
