- Product description
The VAC-Fc charger series is designed for vehicle installation and fulfils the requirements of the FNFW in the current fire service standard
current fire service standard DIN 14679 for charging auxiliary and starter batteries in emergency vehicles.
In addition, all devices are equipped with the standardised FireCAN connection (DIN 14700) ready to plug in.
- Standardised FireCAN connection (see also www.FireCAN.info)
- Charging programmes no. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 (start, gel, AGM, acid) adjustable to battery type
- Outstanding charging technology
- Fully automatic continuous operation for constant operational readiness of the batteries
- The charging voltages are free of peaks and regulated in such a way that overcharging is ruled out
- Trouble-free operation and co-supply of the devices connected to the vehicle electrical system
- Starter battery is also charged with full charging current if required (short vehicle service life)
- 1 main charging output and 1 additional auxiliary charging output "S" for support and trickle charging, e.g. another starter battery of the same voltage (max. 2A)
- Signalling output (MA) +86 for engine start inhibit with vehicle mains connection
- Visual and acoustic warning in the event of battery and operating errors
- Precise battery temperature compensation, temperature sensor included in the scope of delivery
- Automatic battery regeneration during long downtimes (twice a week)
- Compensation of voltage losses on the charging cables for exact compliance with the charging voltages
- Disconnection of the batteries in the event of mains failure, overheating, incorrect behaviour (safety switch per charging output)
- Mains adapter function enables consumers to continue operation and data retention, e.g. when changing batteries
- Manual charging start when battery is deeply discharged in accordance with DIN 14679
- Variable installation position
- Electronics protected against moisture
- Intelligent microprocessor control takes into account the simultaneous co-supply of loads on the battery
Note:The devices with FireCAN connection are only available for manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
