According to DIN EN 1789 for emergency vehicles
The VOTRONIC Start Alarm 124 is a warning device with acoustic (beeper) and optical (LED) alarm signal for the starter battery of emergency vehicles with only one battery circuit (according to DIN EN 1789, section 4.3.2). It is intended to warn the vehicle driver in good time of a battery that can no longer be started.
An additional signal horn, consumer relay or similar can be connected via a switching output (PNP, plus output max. 0.5 A). The reset to normal operation takes place automatically when the engine is running. The unit is suitable for 12V and 24V operation and for all lead-acid battery types and makes. The electronics are protected against moisture and the connection is made in the terminal compartment at the rear.
The self-consumption is less than 3 mA (according to DIN EN 13976). The intelligent electronic evaluation of the Start Alarm 124 avoids false indications, e.g. in case of voltage dips.
