Loctite 648 is a professional speciality adhesive primarily intended for bonding various components, especially cylindrical parts.

Typical applications of Loctite 648 are the fastening of gear wheels or sprockets on shafts, the fastening of rotors on shafts and the like. The curing of the product takes place in a joint without air access, preferably between metal surfaces. The joint can be up to 0.15 mm wide.

After curing, Loctite 648 is highly resistant to vibration and impact, and the joint will not crack, loosen or leak. In addition to its high strength, the adhesive is also very heat-resistant, up to +180 °C.

Precautionary statements:

  • Avoid release to the environment.
  • Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
  • IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible. Continue rinsing.
  • IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE/doctor immediately.
  • Store under lock and key.
  • Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.

Additional operating instructions:

  • Shake well before use.
  • The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free of grease.
  • The optimum processing temperature is between 20°C and 25°C.
  • After opening, the product can be used within the expiry date if stored properly.
