Loctite 242 is a suitable fastening and locking agent for threaded connections where easy manual disassembly is required after curing. It secures screws against spontaneous loosening due to vibrations and impacts.
Self-loosening screws are a problem that can be very dangerous in many cases. Loctite 242 threadlocker, which also seals the thread perfectly, prevents spontaneous loosening caused by frequent vibrations.
It is applied directly to the thread, where it then hardens in the joint between the two surfaces, simultaneously securing and sealing the connection.
Loctite 242 is a medium-strength locking agent so that it can be removed manually at any time after curing. It is also characterised by an increased temperature resistance of up to 150 °C. We recommend it for various screw locking devices for electronic components, plugs, threaded pins and the like.
