Loctite 243 medium-strength threadlocker is particularly suitable for less active surfaces. Seals and secures threaded connections, which can then be dismantled using hand tools.
It is an effective threadlocker that cures in the joint between two metal surfaces without air access. After curing, it secures the threaded connections and seals them at the same time. Although the lock is permanent after curing and protects the joint from cracking, loosening or leaking, it can be removed relatively easily afterwards using hand tools, for example during regular inspections. Due to its composition, it is intended for less active surfaces, stainless steel or plated surfaces.
A major advantage is its thixotropic nature, which prevents the Loctite 243 locking agent from running off the application site after it has been applied. The thermal resistance of the locking agent is up to 180 °C.
