Safety instructions for the BRC Plug&Drive 8-cylinder control unit (DE815012)
1. Read the user manual carefully before installing and using the control unit.
2. Ensure that the control unit is correctly fitted and shows no visible damage.
3. Only use the control unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Switch off the vehicle and disconnect the battery before starting to install or service the control unit.
5. Ensure that all connections on the control unit are secure and tight.
6. Avoid contact with the control unit’s electrical components whilst the vehicle is switched on.
7. Do not use damaged cables or cables with stripped sections.
8. Observe the specified safety clearances from other components in the engine compartment.
9. Keep the control unit away from water, heat and direct sunlight.
10. Carry out regular inspections and maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
11. If any problems or malfunctions occur, contact an authorised dealer or the manufacturer.
12. Observe all applicable safety regulations and requirements when using the control unit.
