Injectors and injection nozzles for LPG and CNG systems
Injectors perform a central function within gas injection or liquid LPG injection: they open and close electrically and release the required amount of fuel according to the control signal from the gas ECU. Depending on the system manufacturer, injection principle, engine layout and installation situation, single injectors, multi-cylinder injector units or manufacturer-specific designs are used. Different flow rates, connection diameters, coil resistances, connector types and mounting versions must match the respective gas system. Contamination, wear or uneven flow rates can lead to rough engine running, switching problems or incorrect fuel metering.
