What approval do the CAMPKO refillable gas bottles have?

CAMPKO steel refillable gas bottles and CAMPKO multivalves have been tested and successfully homologated as individual components and as a set in accordance with ECE 67R.

All other components for the compliant installation of gas tank systems are also manufactured directly by CAMPKO and fulfill the compliant approvals. These include the CAMPKO LPG filling point, CAMPKO gas cylinder wall bracket and CAMPKO LPG filling hoses.

What is the difference between the CAMPKO gas refillable gas bottle and other gas refillable gas bottles?

The CAMPKO refillable gas cylinder has been specially developed for installation in leisure vehicles. Whereas other refillable gas bottles are often conventional propane gas bottles that have only been fitted with an 80% multivalves.

What is the difference between CAMPKO refillable gas bottles?
CAMPKO refillable gas bottles offer more capacity with the same height. In contrast to other refillable gas bottles, CAMPKO has deliberately dispensed with a collar at the bottom of the bottle. The lower cylinder collar is normally used to stack gas cylinders on top of each other for transportation to the gas filling station. However, as CAMPKO camper propane tanks are gas tanks in the shape of a refillable gas bottle and have been specially developed for installation in motorhomes, this is not necessary.

The mounting feet meet the EN 1949 requirements for absorbing acceleration forces in accordance with EN 12979:2002 and enable a direct connection to the vehicle body. The collar of the CAMPKO refillable gas bottle serves as a protective shield for the valve body during transportation and ensures that vibrations or shocks are absorbed and the multivalves are not damaged. The collar can be removed before installation.

The multivalves of the CAMPKO refillable gas bottles are also homologated according to the ECE-R67 standard. This homologation is not available for so-called 4-hole tank cylinders. Here, only a conventional propane gas sampling valve with handwheel is screwed in, as is also known from exchange cylinders. However, these Withdrawal valves are not approved in accordance with ECE 67R. This means that they cannot be installed in accordance with EN1949.

The CAMPKO refillable gas bottle and the CAMPKO multivalves are subject to full ECE-R67 homologation and have undergone a Bonfire test. Therefore, the 10-year test and the replacement of the LPG multivalves are not required.

100% level control - With the help of the Mopeka PRO sensor, the fill level of the CAMPKO refillable gas bottle can be measured and monitored 100%.

Everything from a single source - everything coordinated. CAMPKO does not limit itself to the refillable gas bottle but, unlike other gas bottle suppliers, manufactures all the accessories for a gas bottle set itself. All components are subject to the strict ECE R 67 directive and are checked and approved by independent testing institutes. This means you can be sure that all components are perfectly matched to each other and are subject to continuous quality checks.

How can I read the gas level of the CAMPKO refillable gas bottle?

The clock integrated on the multi-valve body shows whether the refillable gas bottle is completely full. The full level indicator is not a fill level indicator. Due to the vertical design of the refillable gas bottles, the float on multivalves cannot show an exact fill level, regardless of what is shown on a fuel gauge or display.

The Mopeka PRO sensor is recommended for a complete indication of the entire fill level. CAMPKO refillable gas bottles have been specially adapted for the Mopeka PRO sensor so that it can be easily fitted under the bottom of the bottle. The Mopeka PRO Sensor uses ultrasound to reliably measure the fill level of the CAMPKO refillable gas bottle and transmits the value via Bluetooth to your cell phone or an external monitor.
