More sub categories:

High-quality LPG conversion kits for motorhomes, caravans and commercial vehicles such as food trucks are manufactured under the CAMPKO® brand.

CAMPKO® motorhome LPG conversion kits are sold to motorhome workshops and specialist dealers. All components are certified to the highest safety and quality standards.

What does a LPG conversion kit in a motorhome consist of?

Refillable gas bottle or camper propane tank

Every CAMPKO® camper propane kit consists of a refillable gas bottle or a camper propane tank. Depending on the vehicle and space available, it is possible to combine two refillable gas bottles or one refillable gas bottle with a camper propane tank for more storage volume. The refillable gas bottle is installed in the gas locker, while the LPG tank is usually mounted under the vehicle. CAMPKO refillable gas bottles are available in steel (UN ECE 67R approval) or composite (CE certification). For UN ECE 67R certified refillable gas bottles and LPG tanks, the 10-year TÜV test period does not apply.

Gas cylinder wall bracket

The CAMPKO® gas bottle holder is used to properly secure the refillable gas bottle. It is currently the only gas bottle holder in the world with TÜV certification that fulfils the requirements of UN ECE 67R.

LPG filling hose

The LPG filling hose connects the LPG filling point to the refillable gas bottle or LPG kit of the camper propane tank and, together with the CAMPKO® LPG filling point, ensures safe gas refuelling at the filling station.

LPG filling point

The CAMPKO® LPG filling point is the LPG refuelling valve which, in conjunction with an LPG adapter, enables refuelling at any LPG filling station.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to use the CAMPKO® LPG filling point only with original DREHMEISTER® LPG adapters. Other LPG adapters available on the market may be compatible with the CAMPKO® filling point, but have not been tested and certified together with the CAMPKO® filling point.

Installing an LPG conversion kit in a motorhome: do it yourself or have it installed by a specialist workshop?

The installation of an LPG kit in a motorhome should always be carried out by a trained specialist workshop. The regulations for LPG conversion kits in motorhomes can vary depending on the certification of the gas tanks (CE certification or UN ECE R67). A trained specialist workshop can also advise you on the use of the LPG conversion kit while driving (crash sensor), as well as on the possibilities of duo systems consisting of two refillable gas cylinders or the combination with an LPG tank.

The workshop takes care of

  • the leak test of the motorhome LPG conversion kit
  • TÜV initial acceptance of the motorhome LPG conversion kit (if required)
  • Compliance with all relevant regulations during installation
