As a partner company, we have been supporting the work of DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS with a donation since 2016. Our company was therefore audited in advance in accordance with the aid organisation’s donation guidelines. With our contribution, DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS saves the lives of people in need worldwide.
This year, the company is supporting the organisation’s worldwide medical emergency aid with 10,000 euros.
DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS provides medical and logistical aid to the many people in acute need as a result of the wars in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, for example. The organisation’s teams are also active in less publicly visible crises – in more than 70 countries around the world: in northern Nigeria, for example, they are primarily supporting children in the midst of a devastating food crisis. In Bangladesh, they have been working for years alongside around one million people who are living in the world’s largest refugee camp in catastrophic conditions and are dependent on humanitarian aid.
ÄRZTE OHNE GRENZEN employs around 67,000 people in the fields of medicine, logistics, mental health, administration and finance. „The passion of our employees is the basis of our projects,“ says Christian Katzer, Managing Director of DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS in Germany. „We rely on donations to ensure that our teams have everything they need for their vital work. I would like to thank HybridSupply for the donation of 10,000 euros.“ With a sum of 10,100 euros, Médecins Sans Frontières can provide 360 acutely malnourished children with high-calorie special food for four weeks, for example. This is the average duration of the treatment.

The employees of Doctors Without Borders provide more than 16 million medical consultations worldwide every year. In 2023, they vaccinated 3.2 million children against measles, among other things, to contain the highly contagious disease during several severe outbreaks. In 1999, DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS was honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize for its commitment.
NIGERIA: IN THE FIGHT AGAINST MALNUTRITION
There has been a severe malnutrition crisis in northern Nigeria for years. In Bauchi state in particular, the situation worsened dramatically in the first half of 2024: the number of children with severe malnutrition treated by Doctors Without Borders rose by 123 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year. Displacement and violence play a major role in this. In many places, people are unable to reach and cultivate their fields or do any other work.
DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS runs several nutrition centres in the region. Between January and April 2024 alone, the staff there provided outpatient care for 52,000 children, while a further 14,000 children who were severely malnourished had to be admitted as inpatients. In addition to this acute care, DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS launched a pilot project: the teams trained people in communities that are often far away from the
communities, which are often far away from infrastructure, to recognise malnutrition. This means that affected children can be treated at an early stage before their situation deteriorates significantly.
With € 3,100, DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS can treat 110 malnourished children with high-calorie special food, for example. With € 5,600 or € 10,100, 200 or 360 children can be treated respectively.
