The air heaters of the PLANAR AUTOTERM Air series offered by Planar Autoterm are independent, diesel-powered heating systems that can be easily and conveniently installed or retrofitted in your vehicle.
The heater is supplied with fresh air from outside or well-ventilated room air, which is fed into the combustion chamber via an intake pipe. The intake air is then mixed with the fuel, which is supplied via a metering pump, and an air-fuel mixture is formed. This mixture is then ignited by a glow plug, which initiates the combustion process and heats the heat exchanger. Air is then drawn in from the air intake by a fan and passed through the heat exchangers and radiator fins. Finally, the heated air is forced through the hot air outlet.
The AUTOTERM Air series air heaters are ideal for rooms that need to be heated quickly or where there is no central heating system installed. For example: camper vans, campers, boats, etc.
All heaters are equipped with built-in safety systems and sensors. The self-diagnostic system automatically shuts down the heater when a fault occurs (such as a dead battery, heater overheating, low fuel level, air pump malfunction or flame failure), making it a completely safe product. All
AUTOTERM Air heaters are equipped with brushless induction motors that ensure low noise levels and long life for your unit, and can operate in extreme environments down to -45°C/49°F.
The AUTOTERM Air series heaters can be controlled with various control panels or remotely via your iOS or Android smartphone (remote modem sold separately).
