- When refuelling, ensure that the tank system is adequately ventilated and vented.

- Ensure that there are no sparks or open flames in the vicinity of the filling valve.

- The filling valve must not be installed near electrical equipment, hot surfaces or moving parts.

- Ensure adequate lighting when refuelling.

- If the filling valve leaks or is damaged, it must be replaced immediately.
