Safety instructions for BRC Genius-MAX safety valve (2014-)

1. always switch off the power supply and ensure that the valve is depressurised before installing and maintaining the valve

2. do not load the valve beyond the specified operating limit.

3. before opening the valve housing, ensure that there is no pressure in the system.

4. have all maintenance work on the valve carried out by qualified and trained personnel only.

5. regularly check all safety-relevant components of the valve for wear and damage.

6. do not make any modifications to the valve unless expressly authorised by the manufacturer.

7. if unusual noises, vibrations or leaks occur, take the valve out of operation immediately and contact the manufacturer.

8. do not use the valve in potentially explosive atmospheres unless it is expressly authorised for this purpose.

9. before replacing seals or other components, ensure that all pressure forces are relieved.

10. have the valve serviced and inspected regularly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions to ensure optimum functionality.
