Loctite 243 medium-strength threadlocker is particularly suitable for less active surfaces. Seals and secures threaded connections, which can then be dismantled using hand tools.
It is an effective threadlocker that cures in the joint between two metal surfaces without air access. After hardening, it secures the threaded connections and seals them at the same time. Although the lock is permanent after curing and protects the joint from cracking, loosening or leaking, it can be removed relatively easily afterwards using hand tools, for example during regular inspections. Due to its composition, it is intended for less active surfaces, stainless steel or plated surfaces.
A major advantage is its thixotropic nature, which prevents the Loctite 243 locking agent from running off the application site once it has been applied. The thermal resistance of the locking agent is up to 180 °C.

Safety instructions for LOCTITE® 243 blue - medium-strength threadlocker
- Always read the label and product information before use.
- Not suitable for plastic parts such as PE, PP and PTFE.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a doctor.
- In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation occurs, consult a doctor.
- Do not ingest. If accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor.
- The product should be used in a well-ventilated area.
- Fire hazard: The product is flammable. Store away from heat sources and open flames. Do not smoke during use.
- Ensure correct storage. The product should be stored in a cool, dry place and in its original packaging.
- Keep the product out of the reach of children.
