Loctite 648 is a special professional adhesive intended primarily for joining various components, especially cylindrical components.
Typical applications of Loctite 648 include fixing gears or sprockets to shafts, fixing rotors to shafts and the like. Curing of the product takes place in a joint without air access, preferably between metal surfaces. The joint can be up to 0.15 mm wide.
After hardening, Loctite 648 is very resistant to vibrations and shocks, and the joint does not subsequently crack, loosen or leak. In addition to its high strength, the adhesive is also very resistant to heat, up to +180 °C.
