The aluminium gas cylinders from Alugas are ideal for all camping, barbecue and barbecue fans. They are significantly lighter than conventional steel cylinders and are therefore easier on the body and back to handle. In addition, the cylinder does not rust, which means that no rust particles can clog the LPG conversion kit.

They also have a high vaporisation capacity , even at low temperatures, which means you can enjoy barbecuing all year round.

Scope of delivery :

Aluminium gas cylinders compared to steel cylinders

Compared to conventional steel cylinders, aluminium gas cylinders are significantly lighter. An 11 kg aluminium gas cylinder, for example, weighs up to 50 percent less than a comparable steel cylinder. This makes them an ideal choice for applications where mobility and flexibility are required.

What is the gross weight, filling weight and tare weight?

To understand the different weight indications on a gas cylinder, it is important to know the terms gross weight, fill weight and tare weight.

  • Gross weight: This is the total weight of the cylinder including the contents. It is made up of the net weight (tare) of the cylinder and the filling weight of the contents.
  • Filling weight: The filling weight is the weight of the contents of the cylinder, for example propane or butane gas.
  • Tare weight: The term "tare" means "deduction". It is used when substances that cannot be weighed without an aid, such as gases or liquids, are weighed in a container. The tare weight (net weight) is therefore the difference between the gross weight and the filling weight.
