What safety standard must a multivalve fulfil?

LPG multivalves must be homologated in accordance with European standard ECE 67R01 and undergo a joint certification process with the LPG tank - the Bonfire test procedure. All 67R01 homologated multivalves must be equipped with a solenoid valve to open and close the gas flow and be connected to the LPG conversion kit in the engine compartment via a cable. If all operating conditions of the LPG kit are met, the solenoid valve is activated via the board voltage and automatically opens the LPG gas flow to the reducer. In the event of a technical problem or accident, the board voltage is interrupted and the solenoid valve closes the gas supply at the LPG valve immediately to prevent uncontrolled gas leakage.

What types of multivalves are there?

LPG multivalves for toroidal internal LPG tanks with 30° or 37° installation angle

The product designation of the multivalve indicates which multivalve fits the toroidal internal tank. The height, abbreviated to "H.", is given in millimetres and depends on the height of the toroidal internal tank. A degree "30°" indicates the installation angle of the LPG multivalves. The additional specification 6mm or 8mm indicates the diameter of the gas line from the multivalve to the LPG reducer.

Which multivalve fits the toroidal external tank can be deduced from the product designation of the multivalve, similar to the toroidal internal tank. The height, abbreviated to "H.", is given in millimetres and depends on the height of the toroidal external tank. A degree "" indicates the installation angle of the multivalves. The additional specification 6mm or 8mm indicates the diameter of the gas line from the multivalve to the LPG reducer.

Which multivalve fits the cylinder tank can be derived from the product designation of the multivalve. The diameter, abbreviated to "D.", is given in millimetres and depends on the diameter of the cylinder tank. The degrees 0°, 30° or 90° indicate the installation angle of the LPG multivalves. The additional 6mm or 8mm indicates the diameter of the gas line from the multivalve to the LPG reducer.

Important note: Please note that the degree of the multivalve does not correspond to the orientation of a compass rose. With a 90° multivalve, the flange of the cylinder tank points upwards. With a 0° multivalve, the flange is positioned sideways (compass 90°) and with a 30° multivalve, the orientation actually corresponds to the 30° on the compass.
