    Installation position and angle:
    The installation position is particularly crucial for cylinder tanks:

    Liquid withdrawal tanks are usually installed at an angle of 52°. This angle is also stamped on the valve plate and on the floats for the level indicator and fill stop. Accordingly, care must be taken to ensure that the tank or the valve plate on the tank is aligned at exactly 52 degrees. When we now talk about these tanks There are again no differences in the installation positions for safety valves and Withdrawal valves.

    RV propane tanks (gas phase) have different installation positions, typically:

    • 0° or 90° - for installation on the loading area
    • 105° - for underfloor installation (so that the extraction pipe points downwards, which saves space and makes maintenance easier)

    Important: The installation position is fixed and is also stamped on the type plate. A tank with a 90° position must not be installed in a 105° position - otherwise the extraction will not function correctly.

    Valves and coating:

    Safety and Withdrawal valves are universal in their installation position and can be used for both ring and 4-hole cylinder tanks. These valves (extraction, safety, filling) are suitable for various tank types as long as the diameter and installation position are correct.

    • The coating of the tanks is usually standardized. However, some manufacturers offer more robust coatings such as powder coatings for an additional charge, which are particularly recommended for underfloor use. The diameter of the valve must be taken into account to ensure that the float functions correctly.
    • For RV propane tanks, the typical installation positions are 105 degrees, 90 degrees, and 0 degrees. Tanks used on the loading area are usually installed at 90 and 0 degrees, while 105 degrees is preferred for underfloor installation. This has the advantage that the tank points downwards, which makes maintenance easier and saves space. Due to the welded pipe on the Withdrawal valve, the tank cannot be rotated at will. he installation position is stamped on the valve plate of the tank and must be followed exactly. A 90-degree tank must not be installed in a 105-degree position and vice versa, as this would impair removal. While the labeling may vary slightly, the coatings are generally similar, with some manufacturers offering more robust options at an additional cost.
