sonsor combines intrusion detection with sensor readings in a single app for campervans and motorhomes. A sonsor RV alarm system can be configured with door and window contacts, a key fob, gas detectors, alarm sirens and additional sensors to suit the monitoring required.
sonsor mobil combines cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS and built-in sensors in one main unit. Motion, vibration, sounds and changes in light provide indications of activity inside the vehicle. Temperature, humidity and air quality are also monitored. sonsor home is intended for a fixed location with Wi-Fi. sonsor hub takes a different approach: the permanently installed system monitors external contacts and does not monitor the interior.
The sensitivity of the built-in sensors can be adjusted in the app to suit the location. While you sleep, the interior sensors can be disabled and door and window contacts used for perimeter protection. A magnetic door and window contact detects opening or closing at the corresponding entry point. Interior monitoring and monitoring of vehicle openings can therefore be configured separately.
mobil and home are powered through USB-C. Connecting them to the vehicle's 12-volt electrical system requires a suitable USB-C power adapter. Choose a central installation position inside the protected interior. Keep the front of the device clear so motion detection can operate. The main unit is designed for indoor use and is not weatherproof. A stand and a wall mount provide different mounting options for compatible devices.
The sonsor key fob enables automatic activation and deactivation of intrusion detection when Key mode is enabled in the app. The system responds to whether the key fob is detected nearby. The app also lets you configure sensors and view readings and alarm notifications. The live view displays sensor data; it does not provide video surveillance. Notifications to your smartphone depend on the relevant data connection.
sonsor mobil displays a GPS position in the app. According to the manufacturer, this is updated daily during extended periods without movement and when an alarm is triggered. The function therefore provides an updated location rather than continuous live tracking while driving. Transmitting the position requires suitable reception and connection conditions.
Temperature and humidity readings help identify changes during use and when the vehicle is parked for extended periods. Configured alert thresholds can indicate heat, cold or increased humidity. The air quality display is based on detected hydrocarbons and a calculated CO2 equivalent. It does not measure CO2 directly and does not replace a carbon monoxide or LPG gas alarm.
According to the manufacturer, the sonsor gas detector detects carbon monoxide and propane- and butane-based LPG. It also includes a siren and a battery monitor. The alarm siren without gas detection provides an audible alarm and battery monitoring. When connected directly to 12 volts, the vehicle's supply voltage is measured and displayed in the app as an indication of battery status. A water leak sensor adds an alarm when water reaches its contacts. The Alarm Systems, Gas Detectors and Sirens, and Accessories subcategories organize these functions by main unit, add-on and mounting requirements.
